The immigration gods have answered! We received an e-mail late last night informing us that our residency application has been approved!* (*It's now all over but for the paperwork.)
Sorry for the short entry, but that's really all there is to it.

Holy Moly! Good for you! (I think I'm acutally supposed to say "good ON you" but I'm not the nearly kiwi...) Of course, I'd have been mortally offended if the NZ government didn't see you two for the keepers that you are, so it's good it worked out this way. :)
